YWAM Melbourne is a non-profit, Christian organisation focused on equipping and mobilising young people to serve communities in Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Our story began in 1983 when our founders, Steve and Julie Aherne, had a vision for establishing a training and outreach centre that would serve the city of Melbourne, regional towns in Victoria, and international communities.
Building on the amazing foundation the Ahernes laid, 2019 started the process of a major leadership change and vision re-focus. With a new team in place and fresh strategy for the future, we are excited about what is to come!
This includes collaborating with YWAM Medical Ships to see healthy lives, communities, and nations in Australia, Papua New Guinea, and beyond, and training young leaders to make this a reality.
Our campus is nestled in the heart of Surrey Hills, a beautiful suburb just 11 kilometres east of Melbourne’s central business district.
